			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hello Printmakers! We are pleased to announce <span style="color: #a73f1e;">PrintZero Studios Exchange 8</span>!</p>
<p>You might be asking, &#8220;What is an exchange?&#8221; Well, each participating artist creates an edition of 15 prints, which are submitted to PrintZero Studios. In return for participation, artists each receive 13 randomly collated prints by other artists from around the world (2 prints are kept for archiving and exhibition). All prints submitted for the exchange will be exhibited at PrintZero Studios Seattle in August.</p>
<p>In conjunction with the exchange artists will automatically be entered into the running for our juried exhibition. Thirty artists will be selected for exhibition and a full color catalog of the selected work will be published. Our juror this year is David Jones, director of <a href="http://www.colum.edu/Academics/Art_and_Design/Facilities/Anchor_Graphics/index.php">Anchor Graphics</a>, Chicago, IL.</p>
<p><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold; color: #000000;">Exchange 8 Details</span></p>
<ul>
<li>Edition of 15 prints</li>
<li>paper size is 7&#8243; x 10&#8243; (17.8 cm x 25.4 cm)</li>
<li>there is a $20 fee for participation ($25 international)</li>
<li>each print must be slip sheeted with glassine measuring 7&#8243; x 10&#8243;</li>
<li>Any traditional printmaking process including lithography, intaglio, silkscreen, relief, etc&#8230;</li>
<li>No Solely digital prints</li>
<li>Prints must be received by July 1st, 2012</li>
<li>There is no theme</li>
<li>Prints that do not fit the requirements will be returned to the artist</li>
</ul>

<h1>About the Juror</h1>
<p>David Jones is the Founder and Director of Anchor Graphics. Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, he moved to the Midwest to pursue studies in photography and printmaking. He attended the Center for Photographic Studies, Louisville; Banff Centre for the Arts; the Vancouver School of Art; received his BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute, and is currently pursuing his MFA at the Center for Book and Paper Arts. He has taught printmaking at the Chicago Art Institute and at Columbia College Chicago, and serves on the Advisory Board of the Highpoint Center for Printmaking, Minneapolis and the Board of Directors of Southern Graphics Council International. He was Interim Director at the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop, NYC.</p>
<p>His work has been included in numerous exhibits in Chicago, Mexico, and throughout the U.S.  Upcoming shows include a two-person exhibit at Moreau Galleries, St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN, and LeRoy Neiman Gallery, Columbia University School of the Arts, NYC.</p>

The exhibition will run from <strong>September 6 &#8211; October 1</strong>, with an <strong>opening reception on September 11th from 6-10 pm.</strong></p>

<p>Join Chicago based printmaker/artist Jennifer Hines for an exhibition opening on <strong>July 17th, from 4 &#8211; 7pm</strong>. A northwest native, this will be her second show at PrintZero in the last 4 years. Jennifer will be presenting various works on paper incorporating printmaking, drawing, painting, sewing and digital elements.</p>
<p><strong>Opening reception: Saturday July 17, 4-7pm</strong><br />
